Tastebud bagels are uniquely Portland. We’ve embraced the best of Montreal’s traditional methods, added good Bull Run water and Pacific Northwest wheat to make rustic, hand-rolled bagels that are smaller and denser and have a chewy interior.
Our bagels are simple: A kiss of goodness sprinkled with poppy seeds, sesame seeds, salt, black pepper, leek and everything or nothing at all. Just perfectly plain.
Our bagel sandwiches are not simple: they’re good. The foods of summer, autumn, winter and spring: sweet fired roasted fruits and vegetables, bacon and lox, delicious jams, pickles and herbs are piled high on open-faced bagels.
